What this result means
The tool shows the public IP used by your current browser request, plus an approximate location and network-provider match. An IP can identify a network and broad area; it does not normally reveal a precise street address. Provider and location records can be outdated or unavailable.
The lookup runs on this website using a local location database. A missing location is not evidence that your VPN is working or failing. The tool does not scan your device, test DNS or WebRTC leaks, measure speed, or determine whether every application is protected.
Compare your IP before and after connecting

- Compare the public IP and available location/provider information.
A changed IP shows that this request used a different public route. If it is unchanged, confirm the VPN covers this browser, check its connection state and try another available location. Consult the connection troubleshooting guide if access stops.
Public and private addresses
Devices inside a home or workplace also use private addresses. Those addresses are different from the public exit address visible to internet services. A VPN can replace the exit address for covered traffic without removing the private address from your device.
IPv4 and IPv6 can coexist. A changed IPv4 result does not prove IPv6, DNS and other browser traffic follow the same route. Read the IP privacy guide and DNS leak checklist for broader testing.
Browser information and copying
Browser information is read locally from your browser’s user-agent value. It can be approximate, reduced or modified by browser settings. It is not a complete device inventory.
